Shipping policy

All orders are processed within 1 business day (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation (this is a fully automated process once you have checked out and paid for your goods). You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates

Free shipping for local standard orders over R650. Standard orders are direct to consumer/ end-user orders.

Free shipping does not apply to bulk orders. 

Bulk orders are typically orders made by organisations and manually captured through direct interaction with Ethnikids staff. In this instance, a small shipping fee may be charge depending on the volume or quantity of goods ordered. 

Free shipping is only applicable to within the borders of the Republic of South Africa  and does not include orders from the SADC region nor international orders. 

Local delivery

Local delivery timelines are estimates provided through our service level agreement with our preferred couriers. 

Once your parcel has been handed over to the courier, however, there are factors that are not within our control that may affect the timelines as provided. These include but are not exclusive to e.g. wrong addresses provided by customer, inability to reach customer by phone for hand-over, strike action by the courier, even theft. We do assist, however, on a case by case basis and wherever possible to assist on our end. Where there are issues encountered by the courier, they let us know timesouly and we communicate this to the customer immediately.

A small fee may be charged depending on volume and location. 

Please note that there may be remote outlying areas that none of our contracted couriers service, in which case we will advise you on next steps, which may include shipping your package to the nearest serviced town for your collection. 

Please note: our couriers do not offer deliveries into P.O. Boxes

Deliveries are typically made from 7am - 6pm, Monday to Saturday (do not expect deliveries on Sundays or Public Holidays).

We will be notified via your email provided on checkout to keep you updated on your delivery status. 


In-store pickup

You can skip the wait by arranging to collect from our distribution centre. This is based in the Silver Lakes CBD, Pretoria East, Gauteng.

Please arrange via should you wish to arrange for your own pick up. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 24 hours of confirmation of your order (weekdays only). We will send you an email when your order is ready, along with instructions. 

Our in-store pickup hours are from 8am - 1pm, Monday to Friday. Please ensure you have your drivers licence to present at the guard house (as it is based in an office park). 


International Shipping

We offer international shipping to most countries.

Please send an email to should you wish to place an order for a destination outside of South Africa. 

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated separately and added onto a manual invoice as our online store currently does not facilitate for international order shipping charges. 


How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include an tracking number you can use to check the status. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to become available.
